Dr Farkas qualified in medicine from the University of Szeged Medical School, Hungary.
He completed his residency in dermatology and obtained his PhD degree in the Department of Dermatology and Allergology in Szeged, Hungary. In addition to Our Dermatology Online journal, he is also a member of the Editorial Board of Advances in Medicine, Skin Pharmacology and Physiology and World Journal of Dermatology. His clinical interests are dermatooncology and immunodermatology. His research interests are cancer immunotherapy and the role of alcohol misuse in psoriasis.
