About Our Dermatology Online

 

Our Dermatology Online is an international, peer-reviewed, fully open access journal dedicated to dermatology and related fields of clinical medicine and biomedical research.

The journal has been published since 2010 and provides a platform for the publication and dissemination of scientifically sound and clinically relevant work in dermatology.

The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, case series, clinical and diagnostic observations, and other scholarly contributions relevant to dermatology.

All manuscripts are subject to editorial assessment and, where appropriate, external peer review in accordance with the journal’s Peer Review Policy.

Aims and Scope
The aim of Our Dermatology Online is to disseminate scientifically sound and clinically relevant knowledge in dermatology and related disciplines.

The journal welcomes submissions addressing clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, epidemiological, pathological, and translational aspects of dermatology.

The scope includes, but is not limited to:

  • general and clinical dermatology;
  • inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases;
  • dermatologic oncology;
  • pediatric dermatology;
  • dermatopathology;
  • dermoscopy and diagnostic imaging;
  • dermatologic surgery;
  • cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology;
  • infectious and tropical dermatology;
  • fungal and parasitic skin diseases;
  • sexually transmitted infections relevant to dermatology;
  • allergic and immunologic skin diseases;
  • genodermatoses and rare skin diseases;
  • pharmacology and therapeutics in dermatology;
  • epidemiology and public health aspects of skin diseases.

Manuscripts should provide a meaningful scientific, clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, educational, or methodological contribution to the field.

Open Access
Our Dermatology Online is a fully open access journal.

All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication. No subscription, registration, or embargo is required to access the full text.

The journal does not operate a hybrid publishing model.

Peer Review
Our Dermatology Online uses a double-blind peer review process.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are evaluated by at least two independent external reviewers with appropriate expertise.

The average time from submission to first decision for manuscripts undergoing external peer review is approximately 3–6 weeks. This is an indicative timeframe and may vary depending on the complexity of the manuscript, reviewer availability, and the revision process.

Publication Ethics
The journal is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics and research integrity.

Our Dermatology Online follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other relevant international standards of responsible scholarly publishing. Author Charges

Our Dermatology Online is a fully open access journal with no mandatory Article Processing Charge (APC) for standard publication.

Authors are not charged for manuscript submission, standard editorial assessment, peer review, or standard publication.

The journal may offer optional paid services, including Fast-Track Processing and technical corrections requested by the author. These services are separate from the standard publication process and do not influence editorial decisions or peer-review outcomes.

Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are based on the scientific, clinical, and scholarly merits of submitted manuscripts.

Editors and reviewers are required to disclose conflicts of interest and must not participate in the evaluation or decision-making process when a conflict exists.

Manuscripts submitted by editors or members of the Editorial Board are handled independently and are subject to the same standards of external peer review as other submissions.
