%X Epidermal inclusion cysts and squamous cell carcinoma of the skin are very common pathological lesions. However a squamous carcinoma arising in an epidermal inclusion cyst is a rare finding. We present a case of the malignant transformation of an epidermal inclusion cyst into a squamous cell carcinoma over a 25 year period in a 67 year old male. A brief review of the literature and theories postulated as to its histiogenesis are undertaken.
