Qualifications:
1. M.B., Ch.B. (Medicine Bachelor): from 1981 to 1987, obtained on 11/ July/ 1987, from College of Medicine, University of Basrah, Iraq. My rank of graduation is within the top ten out of the 138 graduated students (passed students) of the Medical College.
2. M.Sc. (Master) degree in Medical Microbiology; from 1991 to 1993, obtained on 31/ January/ 1994, from College of Medicine, University of Basrah, Iraq. The following subjects were studies and passed in the course of MSc degree: First Semester: Microbial Physiology, Virology, Protozoology, Helminthology, Biostatistics, Immunology, and Clinical Biochemistry. Second Semester: Clinical Immunology, Clinical Virology, Clinical Bacteriology, Diagnostic Bacteriology, Mycology, and Epidemiology. Title of the thesis: Microbiological Evaluation of Acute and Chronic Osteomyelitis.
 
Posts held since graduation:
1. Resident doctor in Babylon Teaching Hospitals, Ministry of Health, Iraq, during the period of 29/ August/ 1987 to 30/ November/ 1988. Three months in each branch of Medicine, Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and orthopedics; Babylon, Ministry of Health, Iraq. Duty: medical management of in-patients and out-patients who attend to teaching hospitals. Scheduled duties in the emergency departments of surgery, medicine, pediatrics, gynecology and orthopedics.
2. On 1/ December/ 1988, the employment transferred from Ministry of Health to Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research according to a country decree that involved the top ten graduated students of the Medical Colleges, Iraq.
3. General Physician in the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, and Basrah University Teaching Hospital, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Iraq, from 1/ December/ 1988 to 20/ October/ 1991, Basrah, Iraq. Duty: demonstrator; teaching and undergraduate medical college students and participating in research activities.
4. I was granted a scholarship for two years to obtain Master Degree (M. Sc.) in Medical Microbiology for the academic years 1991-1993.
